Short STORY IN English

Zhalay is a doctor who was raised by her uncle after the death of her parents. Now, that same uncle wants to marry her off to his spoiled and immoral son so he can bring all her inheritance under his own control. However, Zhalay’s old maid secretly arranges her marriage to an unknown man and helps her escape from the house. The man leaves Zhalay at a house and then disappears. She knows nothing about him — neither his name nor his face.
Zainab and Ghazan are siblings who live in a village with their grandmother. Ghazan is the tribal head (Sardar) of the village. Both siblings have faced many hardships since childhood. Kaliya is the man who is married to Zhalay. He is a rough, gangster-type character who doesn’t hesitate to use violence.
More than Zhalay, Kaliya, Ghazan, or Zainab, the real story revolves around their parents. The novel portrays two generations and their intertwined lives. Often, people who love deeply end up with those who fail to value them. There are also people in this world who destroy their settled and peaceful lives while chasing forbidden desires. Zhalay’s father ruined his beautiful home while pursuing a non-mahram woman — just like Zainab’s mother did, and like Sher Bakht’s mother as well.
As for Kaliya, his pain is understandable, but the way he took matters into his own hands was completely wrong. That path only made him a killer, nothing more. I can never understand the logic of “doing the right thing in the wrong way.” I still believe Kaliya was a murderer. He had no right to take the law into his own hands. If he had acted out of disappointment with a broken system, it might have been somewhat understandable — but he acted purely out of emotion.
Overall, the story was good and full of suspense. Revelations continued unfolding until the very end. Sher Bakht was the cutest character. I really liked Zainab’s character — she was strong, and her strength was shaped by her brother.
One thing that felt unrealistic to me was that Zhalay knew her uncle was desperately searching for her, yet she still traveled to Quetta and Vareesha’s village to meet Zainab without any security or informing anyone. At the very least, she should have considered the possibility of running into her uncle’s men anywhere.
Overall, the story was good, free from cringe scenes, and everything flowed smoothly. It’s definitely worth reading. Recommended.

ژالے ایک باہمت اور تعلیم یافتہ ڈاکٹر ہے۔ والدین کی وفات کے بعد اس کے تایا نے اسے پالا، مگر ان کی نیت صاف نہ تھی۔ وہ اپنے عیاش اور آوارہ بیٹے کی شادی ژالے سے کروا کر اس کی جائیداد ہتھیانا چاہتے تھے۔ ایسے میں ژالے کی ایک پرانی ملازمہ خاموشی سے اس کا نکاح ایک اجنبی شخص سے کروا کر اسے گھر سے بھگا دیتی ہے۔ وہ شخص ژالے کو ایک گھر میں چھوڑ کر خود غائب ہو جاتا ہے۔ ژالے اس کے نام، شکل اور شناخت — کسی چیز سے واقف نہیں۔
زینب اور غازان دو بہن بھائی ہیں جو اپنی دادی کے ساتھ گاؤں میں رہتے ہیں۔ غازان اس گاؤں کا سردار ہے۔ دونوں نے بچپن سے بے شمار مشکلات کا سامنا کیا ہے، جنہوں نے ان کی شخصیت کو مضبوط اور باوقار بنایا۔ زینب ایک مضبوط اور باہمت لڑکی ہے، اور اس کی شخصیت کی تعمیر میں اس کے بھائی کا کردار نمایاں ہے۔

کہانی کا مرکزی خیال
یہ کہانی صرف ژالے، کالیا، غازان یا زینب کی نہیں بلکہ دو نسلوں کی کہانی ہے۔ ایک ایسی داستان جس میں محبت کرنے والے اکثر ناقدروں کے حصے میں آتے ہیں۔ کچھ لوگ اپنی بسائی ہوئی زندگی ایک سراب کے پیچھے بھاگتے ہوئے تباہ کر دیتے ہیں۔
ژالے کے والد نے بھی ایک ناجائز تعلق کے پیچھے اپنی خوبصورت زندگی برباد کی، بالکل ویسے ہی جیسے زینب کی ماں اور شیر بخت کی ماں نے کیا۔
تبصرہ
کہانی نہایت دلچسپ اور سسپنس سے بھرپور ہے۔ اختتام تک رازوں سے پردہ اٹھتا رہتا ہے جو قاری کی دلچسپی برقرار رکھتا ہے۔ شیر بخت کا کردار سب سے معصوم اور دلکش محسوس ہوا۔ زینب کا کردار خاص طور پر متاثر کن تھا — ایک مضبوط لڑکی، جو حالات کے سامنے جھکنے کے بجائے ڈٹ کر کھڑی رہی۔
البتہ ایک بات قدرے عجیب لگی کہ ژالے کو معلوم تھا اس کے تایا اسے تلاش کر رہے ہیں، اس کے باوجود وہ بغیر کسی سیکیورٹی یا اطلاع کے کوئٹہ اور وریشہ کے گاؤں چلی گئی۔ کم از کم اسے ممکنہ خطرات کا اندازہ کرنا چاہیے تھا۔
مجموعی طور پر کہانی بہت عمدہ ہے، غیر ضروری یا ناپسندیدہ مناظر سے پاک اور ایک بہترین تسلسل کے ساتھ آگے بڑھتی ہے۔
